Cameron Sawyer feels the need to be extremely organized and in control of every situation. So when she finds herself pregnant after a super hot one night stand with her best friend, she feels both confused and afraid. Cam loves her job, and nowhere was having a baby part of her plan. To complicate matters, the father happens to be extremely high profile - the captain of the Seattle Whalers, in fact.

Warren “Bugs” Parker is the most dependable guy around. He’s a great guy and an incredible captain, and nothing seems to phase him - well, nothing except Cameron Sawyer. Warren has had feelings for his best friend for years, and has finally dared to hope after the phenomenal night they shared. But when those little pink lines appear, Warren becomes determined to win Cam’s heart.

Okay, so you know I love a good hockey romance, and this one did not disappoint!!! Cam, she’s going through so much. She’s suddenly got this huge life altering bomb dropped on her, and I can completely understand why she’s reeling. As for Warren, this man is trying so hard. He’s trying to be there for Cam while coming to terms with the fact that he’s going to be a father, and he handles the whole situation incredibly gracefully.

Cam and Warren together make a lovely couple, even when Cam was fiercely denying her feelings/struggling with self doubt. I have so much love for these two, and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the world of the Seattle Whalers!!!

Cam and Bugs story was not an easy one, they had a lot to overcome to get their happy ending. Cam is hyper organized and wants her life to always be that way, while Buggs is so sweet and wants her to know how much he cares while he respects her wishes. Their friendship is special and they both do not want to ruin it. Their friends definitely add to the plot, but the girls were amazing. I enjoyed how they supported Cam but also truly helped her open up/go for it. Overall, the characters are well developed, you definitely feel all of their emotions. I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy hockey romances.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cam and Bugs! What else is there to say?

Bugs has had feelings for Cam since they met but she firmly put him in the friend zone and he was willing to take what he could get - until Cam made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. And no matter how hard they tried things just weren’t the same - but after a little surprise maybe they could be better!

When Cam tells Warren he’s going to be a dad he is more than willing to step up for both Cam and his child. The only question is will Cam believe Warren loves her not because of the baby but in spite of it or will she let her insecurities about love, life and men ruin their relationship?

Bugs is such a great guy and Cam definitely gives him a run for his money! Will they get their happily ever after or will they need to find a way to co-parent only?

I’m loving the Whalers series and can’t wait for the next book!

"Love like that comes around once in a lifetime."
I love sports romance, and especially hockey romance. So, I jumped at the chance to read this ARC from a new (to me) author. I love the friends to lovers trope, and I really enjoyed Emily's writing style. It won't be the last book of hers for me for sure!

We’re thrown in the middle of a story that comes from the previous book. Warren “Bugs” Parker and Cameron (Cam) are friends who have had a hot night together, and they’re trying to get past it with minimum damage. The problem? Bugs has feelings for Cam, and now that he’s had a taste, getting them under control is a bit harder.

"Daddy slipped one past the goalie."
When Cam accidentally becomes pregnant, Bugs’ feelings develop even further, for both her and the baby, and he steps up in absolutely every way. You can’t really ask for a better book boyfriend than Bugs.
This guy... He’s been halfway in love with her for a while, and he’s always been there. He’s such a great guy, all the interactions with his family and his teammates are pretty much incredible. He’s all heart (and brawn, and hotness, and muscles – sorry, freaking hockey players messing with my head).

"I need Cam to choose me with all her heart. I need to be her first choice, not someone she’s settling for."
However, I couldn’t relate to Cam at all, especially not when it comes to her relationship with Warren. Not only is she aware that he’s into her, but she seems to lead him on. She’s all hot, and then cold, and then unsure. When she gets pregnant, it gets even worse, and she turns into a completely insecure person with lots of unjustified body issues, and mistreats people around her.
I get that she has a past, but it still doesn’t excuse her behavior in my book, and she is the reason why this is only a 4 for me.

"I miss her, man. I miss her so fucking much I can’t breathe."
A string of bad decisions on her part ends up hurting Bugs, and my heart broke for him. It’s not fair in the slightest. He doesn’t deserve any of it. I really wanted him to just turn away from her and be done with her because I couldn’t see how she could ever reciprocate his feelings.
And... I needed her to grovel. Like, really grovel, apologize, and throw herself at his feet for all she’d put him through.

His teammates were cool and fun, and their team dynamics were on point. Can't wait to see what happens to each one of them. Her friends, not so much. They should have called her out on her bad decisions.

"Cam and I share a look, and I know for a fact that this woman holds my heart in her hands and always will."
The big gesture on her part sort of helped. Their kid immensely helped too, because it gave me that fuzzy feeling at the end with their HEA. However, it wasn’t enough for me. I’m just team Bugs all the way! Warren carries the whole book for me.

All She Needs is a sweet (and definitely steamy) read, that may be perfect for the friends-to-lovers and sports-romance readers out there.

Looking forward to the next book in the series!
