This book was not for me. It's written in third-person present, which I just couldn't make work. And when I realized the Latino friend was the side-kick, I DNF.

Mr & Mrs. Smith but make it supernatural, I’m sold.

I’m a sucker for a good urban paranormal romance novel and this one didn’t disappoint. It followed the bases of Mr & Mrs Smith so well, powerful witch Savannah who works for the C.R.O.N.E (Covert Responses to Occult Nightmares) operatives and we have geeky professor Griffin who secretly works for the H.U.N.T.E.R (Humans Undertaking Nocturnal Terror and Evil Reduction) they nemesis and they fall into a whirlwind love match that blows up in their faces come their wedding day. With everything exposed a lot more comes to light regarding why they thought their operations didn’t like each other. I love a good enemy to lovers’ twist. One big thing that made me chuckle were their familiars and how they could transform, poor Griffin thought he had a little kitty cat, but little did he know Savannah familiar was a full-grown Panther and a little frog whose true form is a horse lol it cracked me right up.

This book was honestly just so much fun, so glad I was gifted an E-arc from Netgalley. This was the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’ll definitely be checking out more from her!

Ok, I am in love with Gwenda Bond at this point. Her writing is so similar to how I think that it’s freaky. So when I had the opportunity to get an advanced copy of Mr & Mrs Witch (courtesy of NetGalley), I jumped on it!

I love this book! Yes, it’s similar to the movie Mr & Mrs Smith, but I don’t think it’s a ripoff of the movie. It’s got its own originality and the characters are lovely. There are twists and turns, and the development - both character and story-wise are wonderful. Definitely a favorite of the year!

I appreciate the opportunity to read this book.
However I was not able to finish this book. I got about 75 pages in and I could not make myself read anymore. It took me a long time to get 75 pages read. I like the idea behind the book, but it just didn't hold my attention. Nothing grabbed me making me want to finish this book. Just because it was not my cup of tea, doesn't mean that someone else won't like it.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin for the opportunity to read this book.

Mr and Mrs Witch is full of charm and delightful characters, but reads more action than romance (lightly steamy).

The flow of the story left me feeling disjointed — moving from present to past at variously decreasing intervals — and it ultimately seemed to stymie the depth and development of the characters and the story. The emotional connection between the characters just didn't have the time to develop for me to connect to. And the lackluster "final bosses battle" fizzled.

A fun magical twist on Mr and Mrs Smith whose spellcasting could use a little tweaking. For as charming as it was, it did not leave be bewitched.
