What I really dont like about these romcoms is how predictable they are and how much suspension of disbelief you need to have. Portia Macintosh’s books are predictable and you need to believe the unbelievable, and… I love them. Karen Cass’ narration is perfection.

I love that the author uses Bari, rather than a more famous Italian city, as the setting, and genuinely seems to love the culture. It's a fun, feel-good summer read.
My only complaint is that the love "rival," the one the MC is interested in from the start, seems to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Give him a few good traits so we can understand why she's after him!
