It was a little slow for me. I had a hard time getting into it.

Cathy’s brother is accused of the murder of his wife and the killer made his story sound so ridiculous that it couldn’t possibly be true, right? Along with her friend Michael (a private investigator and former police officer) Cathy and her sisters have to become 'detectives' to figure out the identity of the real killer and clear their brother’s name.
I came into this book with not too many expectations. I love other books from Terri so I was hoping for another good read – and that is what I got! For me it was hard to put down. Yes, I figured out the villain early on, but I didn’t mind that at all. The fun for me is to read how the hero comes to that conclusion themselves. I thought it was a nice change of pace to read something with more simplistic language without taking away the excitement of the mystery.
I enjoy reading a book with Christian themes and issues, but I did feel because of the number of characters and all of them dealing with something, that it was quite a lot to take in. Having said that, I felt Terri did a great job handling how the character processed those issues.
I was also impressed with the real life look into a private investigator’s work. It was great to see a more accurate representation without compromising the excitement you would expect from this type of book.
Overall, I was very happy and I am excited to start the next one in the series and follow the new journey!

I really enjoyed this book - it is book 1 of 3 and it's a great introduction to all the characters and the story. It is written by a Christian author but isn't overly in-your-face about it like some books can be. There aren't any bad words or sex scenes, instead there is just an enjoyable, interesting story. The chapters are short but it really is a book that I didn't want to put down, I just wanted to keep reading to see what happens next! I actually liked all the characters pretty equally so it didn't matter which character it was focusing on at the time because I enjoyed reading about each of their lives. It also brought up interesting points about blogging and how sometimes what you do can have a bigger impact on others than you might realize at first. I enjoyed this book, I'd recommend it!

Somewhat predictable, Terri Blackstock tries to throw readers off unsuccessfully. It is relatively easy to solve the murder though the motive is at first ambiguous. Not light reading by any means but definitely a quick read.

This was so good!!! Terri Blackstock can write a good story! And for having so many characters I still cared about each one! I can’t wait to read the next one!

It was so refreshing to read a mystery story that was clean and lacked the offensive language that most of these kind of stories. It was a good mystery and the characters were very likeable. I hope the rest of the series is just as good.

In this first book of the trilogy, we are introduced to the Cramer family: Cathy, Juliet, Holly, and Jay. Jay's ex-wife has been murdered, and he's set up to take the fall. The Cramer sisters, along with family friend Michael, are determined to prove Jay's innocence.
This was a decent, quick read. Each of the characters is definitely a bit cookie cutter, and the story is plot driven. The characters don't grow or change much - at least not past what a reader can predict.
Also, there were several typos involving the wrong sisters' name in various places. That always annoys me. Not sure if those are just errors in the large print.
Anyway, I was needing something easy and entertaining after my last read. This fit the bill.

I thought I was going to read a police story and found a pamphlet of religious and antiabortion propaganda. A disappointment.
