Sweet book if slightly unbelievable in parts.

I enjoyed this book and really liked it but didn't love it. It was hilariously funny and I really liked the characters but it took forever to get to the romance portion of this story and when it finally did it was so rushed and then the book ended. The story was interesting, I really liked the setup and character development but would've liked to have seen a little more in the James and Leah section. I'm hoping the other books in this series are about James family members. Even though this wasn't a full 5 star book for me, I do recommend it to anyone who loves a romantic comedy. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

Unlikeable heroine (I think she's supposed to be quirky and fun, but she comes off judgmental, mean-spirited, and kind of a brat), marginally likeable hero (except for how much he "empathizes" with his sister's workload, but then acts like taking his baby niece for a weekend is the biggest imposition in the world), shoehorned "plot twists", and a general lack of logic and follow-through.
If Leah's so goddamn broke, why doesn't she have another part-time job? Why is James picturing boning Leah from behind like two seconds after they've met, when there's no other sign of or reason behind attraction? Why does Mel disappear entirely?
Also, really not-hot sex. "Rod" is not a sexy word.

Loved the relationship between James and Leah! I really want to find out what happens to Jeremy. Some of the situations were a bit out there but I had to finish reading because I loved how Leah and James met then interacted.
