A fantastic end to an excellent series! Didn't disappoint in the slightest. Kept me on my toes but wrapped everything up in a satisfying way.

As far as endings to trilogies go, this was really good! Kept me on the hook and guessing just like the others.
Graphic: Murder and Death of parent
Moderate: Death, Toxic relationship, and Blood

I think the author took an interesting, somewhat genre defying turn in this book. I have to say that the characters really do seem more "villainous" in this installment than the previous ones, but the author has still made me care about them and that's quite the accomplishment.
A wonderful series!
Spoiler
Especially in that, by and at large, the characters go unpunished for their misdeeds, though you could argue that they are punished in a way. Usually, in YA books it seems like most bad deeds must have consequences for the characters.A wonderful series!

I found the book very interesting and in a way frustrating. It’s crazy how much betrayal is in one book and honestly I wasn’t surprised it all circled back to her mom. What blew my mind was how easy it was for Nita to kill her mom someone all strong all it took was a made bomb in a backpack. That part kind of irritated me. The one thing I figure with these books is Nita needs to keep her temper in check she needs to think better and not just act every time someone makes her mad.

This book let me downnnnn, man.
- the characters are never challenged. They never lose, they never face defeat :///
- there's no character development, the only character development is actually from Fabricio who is the evil fucking guy in this story
- Nita doesn't change. Kovit doesn't change. His sister's character was pointless with respect to the story too like ??
- the series should've just been one book ughhhhh
- first book in the series was good because of the new and interesting concept/premise aka cryptid creatures walking among humans
- second book was Okayyyyy because it expanded the world a bit, we were given Adair and some loose ends were semi-tied up
- BUT THIS BOOK MANNN, I expected some development but yeah, a third in and I realised am not going to get that lol
- THIS ENTIRE SERIES HAPPENS OVER THE COURSE OF LESS THAN ONE (1) MONTH GENUINELY HOW

Call me basic, but this was the selling point for me. When I read the line, “But not even bones, only ashes remained when Nita rose,” after the climax — absolute COOLEST part of the damn series. When I read this line, I knew this series had earned it's five stars in my books. -2020

I really appreciate how much this series discusses abusive family relationships. They aren’t always physical; emotional and mental cages are just as strong and difficult to break free from.
It was kinda corny how often they referred to themselves as evil though.
I think the reason I didn’t like the second and third books as much as the first is the lack of action. Book 1 had a lot and it added a nice thrill to the plot, which the sequels lacked. Those were mainly about scheming and murdering people who got in the way. Didn’t really have the same heart-racing element, but still a good series overall.
