Cruisin' ★ (1 1/2)

I don't like your girlfriend ★★

The Law of Suspects ★★★

The Mirror House ★ ★ ★

Nowhere is safe ★★

Maureen Johnsons tale was probably the best - I definitely found it scary and creepy.

Sarah Mlynowskis tale was nothing special and predicatable. No wonder they put it first.

Claudia Grays tale - I liked. Not terrifying but for a witch it would be a vacation from hell - but would a happy ending.

Cassandra Clares tale was average. She left it hanging if Evan got his soul back.

But the worst was Libba Brays. I just didn't like it - just wasn't my taste. I think it was the longest and, for me, the most boring one out of all five.

lighthearted fast-paced

Super great collection of short stories about vacations gone wrong. Murder, Vampires, Witches...it's got it all.

A great read for summer vacation! This book contains five short stories about vacations I would rather not experience. The book jacket accurately describes it when saying that these stories range from amusing to downright creepy. Several stories have twists, and all are very engaging. This was a very good anthology - I enjoyed every story.

i think 3.5. cassandra clare's story sucked but for the most part this was fun.

Barely even tolerable. I kept reading just to see how bad the stories could get.
dark mysterious tense medium-paced

Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I liked this book much better than Prom Nights From Hell short stories collection. It feels like the authors in this one put more thought in their stories and I enjoyed them all. But I liked the last three stories better than the first two.
