I'm generally not an Evanovich fan but this made for a fast paced, easy read. The book felt more like a job than a passion for Jones but her art is still very good here even if it isn't on the level of Catwoman or Lady Killer.

Super fun graphic novel starring NASCAR driver and mechanic, Hooker and Barnaby, respectively. Set in New Orleans, lots of voodoo, action, and humor.
Fans of Evanovich's print novels will enjoy these graphics.

I'm glad this graphic novel took me only 15 minutes to read. It was filled with cheesy humor and a stupid plot line and was a waste of my time.

First graphic novel for adults that I've read. It was OK.

This was my first foray into graphic novels and I purposely selected something outside of the 'superhero' genre. I saw Janet Evanovich's name and thought this would be a good place to start.

The story was witty and engaging and an extremely quick read. The graphics were great and I laughed a little at some of the lines. Looking forward to reading some more graphic novels by Evanovich and her daughter!

Fun graphic novel- although since I haven't read the books featuring the characters I was a little lost at first- very reminiscent of Stephanie Plum, but thankfully without the annoying love triangle... at least from what I read. ;) Will be diving into the second volume of Troublemaker soon!

This is the 3rd book, and I haven't read the 1st or 2nd in the series. The art is bright and peppy. It reminds me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels, with similarly shallow and wise-cracking characters, only now in Miami. Not much there, there.

From Goodreads:
Narrator Alex Barnaby 30 and NASCAR driver Sam Hooker fight crime the only way they know how - leaving a trail of chaos. Hooker's friends Rosa and Felicia call for help. To find a missing man, Alex and Sam go deep into the underbelly of Miami, survive Petro Voodoo, explosions, gift- wrapped body parts, a deadly swamp chase, and Hooker's mom.

Not a terrible story, mostly fluff which isn’t always a bad thing. Beware the cliffhanger though. The story may have failed to impress, but that artwork...wowzers. It’s fantastic! Totally worth reading the book for the art alone.

the artwork is really good, and I enjoyed how the characters were introduced.

The story is non existent, and really appears to be only part of a story - first four chapters.

THIS HAS A CLIFFHANGER?! Thank goodness the library had the second one. But hey, it took less than 20 minutes to read.
