On one hand, I'm sad that this is going to be the final book for the I-Team for a while, but on the other hand I'm glad it went out with a bit of a bang. That being said, the bang it went out on was not what I was expecting, nor was it very original to me.

My first thought when everything started going down was that this was exactly like the Die Hard franchise of movies. By the time I got to the end of the story, the author let the readers know that this was intentional. She made it a point to say that some were calling the events at the hotel "Die Hard in Denver". While I enjoy the Die Hard movies, I didn't enjoy how close this book came to them.

I did enjoy seeing all the I-Team couples in the book, and would have enjoyed more time with some of them. It seemed that the book focused more on Marc/Sophie, Gabe/Kat, and Nick/Holly, than giving each couple equal attempts at heroism. Granted, Marc and Gabe are some of the more popular heroes, and the Nick/Holly angle could have been to promote [b:Seduction Game|25497194|Seduction Game (I-Team, #7)|Pamela Clare|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1440126224s/25497194.jpg|45273081] more, but some of the couples got shuffled off into "cameo standing on the sidelines" status. Will and Lissy from [b:Heaven Can't Wait|7894361|Heaven Can't Wait (I-Team, #1.5)|Pamela Clare|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1375641879s/7894361.jpg|11130299] weren't even mentioned at all!

I did like how the author handled dealing with Mr. Baird! The guy was a complete jerk and coward, and having Tom Trent
Spoilerbasically kick the guy off the paper after revealing that Marc was the one sabotaging things and that Sophie was his wife
was totally epic!

I think this leaves the I-Team in a good place if the author chooses not to write any more books in the series. I would like to see more books in the series, but with the way this ended, I'm ok if there isn't any more as well.

Rekomen banget!

Reece and Kara Sheridan are attending a holiday party at the Palace Hotel for a foreign ambassador while the I-Team journalists at the Denver Independent are having their party at the same hotel. When Holly Andris inadvertently sees a hotel server packing an AK-47, she gets into action.

What a way to end a series! I opted to wait until the audiobook was released and that was the best decision. Kaleo Griffith was just perfect in his performance of a really great story. All of the main characters are either trapped in the hotel or are working to get the others out. No gratuitous appearances here as each has a major role.

While this isn’t your traditional holiday story, it’s romantic suspense at its best. I loved everything about it as the suspense and action never ceased until the end. I couldn’t have asked for better of one of the most outstanding series in this genre. Kudos to Clare for writing it and having the wisdom to wait for Griffith to do it justice.

Epically Awesome as always! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that fact that it marks the end of the iTeam series! :( ;(

I hate when a great series comes to and end almost as much as I understand it. Though I had of course been holding out hope that one or two more characters would get books if not novellas, I'll just have to suck it up and wait to see what Pamela Clare has in store for us next.

The I-Team is celebrating Christmas at a local Denver hotel when the find themselves in the middle of a hostage crisis. Some are hostages themselves, some have escaped, and some are on the outside hoping to find a way to help.

Dead By Midnight suffers from the same issues that plague most novellas - it is too short for much in the way of character growth or plot development. Several characters from previous I-Team books are a part of the story, but it has been so long since I read those books, that I don't really remember who they are. For those of are fans of the I-Team series and have read some of the books recently, this book is a no-brainer. Overall, this is a good book with lots of drama and action. I just wish it could have been a little longer.

THIS BOOK IS AMAZZINGGG.

As an avid fan of the Die Hard movies, I couldn't help picture the whole thing running like the movie. Plus, IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME TOO. Oh and Marc is definitely John in this. With the rest of the character being themselves of course. OH, AND I GOT TO SEE HOLLY AGAIN!

(My only complaint is how I wish the villain is as good as Hans Gruber.)

And, I thank my lucky stars nobody important died in this.

My heart raced the whole book!

Fans of the I-Team series will love seeing all their favorite characters. This isn't your average Christmas party. It is the holidays with a splash of life or death action.

Filled with Pamela Clare's trademark sizzle and quick whit this book will make your heart race, make you laugh, make you want some private time with your significant other, and bring a tear to your eye.

Not many books out there that can give you all of that.

I purchased this book for my own library (and gifted a few too!)

I don't often give novellas 5 stars, but this one deserves it. There's lots of action, tons of emotions, lots of sex, and a surprise visit by Kaylea Cross' HRT guys. I think what made this so good is that it was built on such a solid series.
