This book gave me whiplash but in the best way possible?! I feel like everything was so fast paced but I really liked how it was paced. It honestly made sense in my brain because that’s how teens are. I definitely had a similar situation where within days was falling for a guy I previously hated and used to be friends with, so it’s believable in my book. ANYWAYS! I really enjoyed this and I love the whole locked in a space together trope. We love a good snow storm to bring a cute couple together. This book is really about coping with grief, letting go of things, and finding who you want to be and not who others want you to be. I loved the messages and really liked the way the conflict was solved. It was definitely a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunication but honestly, it’s a YA book and I feel like 96% of conflicts that I had as a teenager involved one or the other. I really liked this one

I was not this books demographic so I’m not going to rate it. But what confuses me about not being the correct demographic is that if I was I don’t think I would have known half the pop culture references that were made if I wasn’t born in the 80s/90s. And there were A LOT of references.

However I did enjoy it for what it was a break from my usual choices, like a palate cleanser book, a quick low stakes romantic comedy.

Much like the other book I read by this author, it was ok, but not my favorite. I think the narration style is just much more subdued and angsty than I prefer. I love a silly, uplifting rom com, and this was definitely more of an angsty coming of age story. If that's what you're looking for, I think it will definitely be a good read, just don't go into it expecting it to be something it's not. I'm giving it a 4 star rating, because while I don't love the style, that is not in any way a negative for the book, and I truly do feel that if this is your type of read it's a solid 4 stars.

A very nice story. At times it felt like it was moving slow and there was a lot of description that wasn't needed. It also felt like the end was a little rushed but overall it was still a good story.

This book had a slow start but ended up being a pretty quick and easy read. It's entirely predictable and feels a little niche at first but the author plays out the friends to enemies to lovers well. I wish there was more of an exposition as well- I felt like I knew the story but not the characters. I am from Jersey and live in Philly and it was pretty neat reading a book so centered in my world.
