Donna Fletcher is my go-to author when I want to feel the love and some heat. She creates such enchanting stories that you will not be able to put them down. You will fall in love with the characters and never want to story to end. She makes you love love especially when it comes to Eric and Faith in the book. Dont even fight it just read their amazing story of overcoming yourself and surrendering to true love.

It's not a bad book, the plot is good, but the male lead is disappointing. Even though it's based in Medieval Ireland it read exactly the same as every Medieval Highlands romance, but with the one big change that 60 pages or so into the book the devilish male lead is waxing poetic and singing the praises of the female lead. The plot could have been interesting but the silly way the male lead was supposed to be stoic and instead melted into a puddle of loving goo a few pages after meeting the heroine inspired me to think "I know r/menwritingwomen is a common critique of unrealistic and even ridiculous male writers, but this book all by itself inspired me to start a Reddit for r/womenwritingmen with this kind of silly book as the first entry." Which is a shame because the plot itself had a handful of twists that were rare in the Medieval romance/thriller/mystery books and made it an interesting read.
