Basically just story arcs from the previous books regurgitated into a new story. Enjoyable, just living with the same characters and doing the same things, but good characters and things nonetheless.

I could not put this one down. Very satisfying internal arc, separate from the larger arc of the series and the characters and places we've grown to know and love. Cornwell's prose at his best, with beautifully terrible descriptions of battle and the sea. Best insults/flyting so far too.

This book and all of the Uhtred books are really good. I don't mean to offend anyone but it does seem to be the same story over and over again.
