an odd little book, made odder and more tantalizing by Carmen Maria Machado's introduction, edits, and footnotes. I enjoyed how the story fit together like a puzzle, and was fascinated by repressed depiction of sapphic attraction - I'd be really interested in seeing sapphic stories/writing from women of this era.

Muy atmosférica. No le pongo más nota porque se me ha desinflado al final y me gustaría saber más sobre Carmilla.

so sexy that the story that inspired dracula was a gothic sapphic horror novella.

Been wanting to read this book. I knew it was sapphic but it's a lot less subtle than I thought it would be! Loved the tension between the characters. Ending is a little disappointing but the buildup was pretty good.
