Short and sweet! Probably won't read it again but I still had fun reading it!

Take a shot every time something falls from the sky or he says “I’m blessed.” After a while it just got annoying and redundant, but it was a good retelling geared towards younger YA audience members

A fun sweet read and I love LC Rosen’s works that revision classics in a queer lens. There were a couple times I felt the plot was overly strange for the otherwise deeply realistic portrayal of queer teens such as
when Emmett’s dad was taking his blood to check for disease.
I assume these odd pieces have some tie back to Jane Austen’s Emma, but at least they were addressed by other characters at some point.

Well, I’m fucking dumb, because I read the whole thing thinking it was a retelling of Clueless, only to realise it is, of course, a retelling of Emma, which Clueless was already a retelling of. Genius. This is what happens when I start a book at midnight and finish it at 4am. Very cute and wholesome, I liked the distinct voices of the leads, especially Taylor, Emmett and Miles.

the protag got more annoying and oblivious as the book went on but I really liked the surrounding characters for the most part
