What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions

This was probably not the sort of book that I needed to read cover to cover. While some of the questions and answers were really cool and interesting, many of them were horrifying enough to give me nightmares... literally. I usually try to not spend too much time thinking about the end of the world, dying in some terrible way, or the vastness of space. It's just not good for me emotionally. So, this rating is really more about me than it is about the book. I did really enjoy the illustrations and especially the "weird (and worrying) questions from the What if? inbox."
I absolutely loved how Munroe is able to weave witty humor into serious science. It almost feels like this book was written specifically for me!

A really quick and entertaining listen. I felt like I was listening to a book written by Mark Watney from [b:The Martian|18007564|The Martian|Andy Weir|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413706054s/18007564.jpg|21825181].
thank you randall!!!!!! learned a lot of things and had a lot of fun
Perfectly bitsize, mostly read on planes. Good travel book for this reason.
This was such a fun read! Some of it was over my head, but Munroe does such a great job of dumbing things down and keeping it humorous and relatable.
