You get all the stars, [a:Randall Munroe|3089156|Randall Munroe|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1406058780p2/3089156.jpg]. The only thing wrong with this book was that its shape and size made it a mildly non-ideal subway book, but I dealt with the extra weight because I simply didn't want to spend a subway ride without it. Visit my Instagram for snippets and doodles, and stay tuned for more as I am way behind on the doodling.
I checked out this book from the library, but I fully intend to purchase a copy for our home. The questions often are truly absurd, but Munroe's answers are just as often laugh-out-loud hilarious. This is a GREAT book to give as a gift. It's a great book to keep around the house and read one question (and the corresponding answer) at a time and at your leisure. Some of the scientific explanations and data calculations are very technical, but I found them fascinating. And I have myself wondered a few of the same questions that people asked Munroe. This book is thoroughly enjoyable.
3.75 stars. The content was really interesting but borderline ruined by how annoying the audiobook narrator's voice was. Also, probably best to read this one than listen to it unless you are an auditory learner.
The kids and I have been listening to this one in the car for the past few months. When I was little, my dad and I would discuss science questions and hypothetical scenarios while in the car. We didn't have Google in our pockets and I don't think we pursued answers outside of those drives, but I've always remembered those conversations fondly.
This book offered fascinating -- and sometimes dizzying -- conversation starters about physics, chemistry, mathematics and more. Even when I had no idea what he was talking about, the author's wry and sarcastic humor kept us laughing and engaged!

great book for smarties
I think this book is very good. I think it was very well written and has good humor. I like how the author doesn't create a short answer. The author expands a lot and goes above and beyond to answer the questions. The cartoons on the sides also help a lot with understanding. I like how even though the author is writing a science book he manages it to make it funny and keeps it fairly simple making it easy to understand. Overall I think this book is very good and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and different.

This was a gift from my wife and sat unread until our vacation this summer. Sitting on the beach I had the feeling I was holding an undiscovered treasure and was soon reading excerpts to my boys. This prompted them to pick it up whenever I wasn't reading it and relay the funniest thing they'd just read. By turns entertaining, informative and hilarious this book is a great gift for anyone with even a moderate interest in science. Highly recommended.
