Set in the future in a society where gender and religion are not a thing and then proceeds to discuss both extensively throughout the book --- does not at feel like it belongs in the dystopian genre.

Beautiful. I will need to read it again to make sure I was catching the plot intricacies, but I won't mind because I love good world-building, and this book does that, almost to distraction. Eagerly awaiting #2 in the series.

And if anyone makes a griffincloth cloak in the near future, they can have all of my money.
