great prequel

Can’t wait to dive into Max and Spencer’s full-length story!

This prequel definitely showed their unique and quirky personalities and how they click despite not being what they thought they wanted in a significant other.

Opposites attract
Enemies to lovers

They couldn’t be more wrong for each other, but for some reason Max & Spencer have enough chemistry to set a high rise on fire. And they can’t seem to get enough of each other.

Such a great introduction to this new Badges of the Bayou series. Ms. Nicholas does an amazing job of giving you just enough banter, snark and drama to make you chomp at the bit for more.

A well written prequel. I'm interested in seeing how Ms Nicholas does with what seems to be a more suspensful plot.

Good intro and definitely needs to be read before book 1. Honestly shouldn't be separate though would flow better as one book. Don't feel like you get to know the characters that well.

This was a nice refresher and introduction to our next couple/series. Getting this book from the author’s website included a bonus scene that I really enjoyed. I was surprised that a prequel would be steamy, but no complaints from me. I’m looking forward to seeing where the relationship goes from here and how they deal with Spencer’s expectations.

This was cute, hot, and super interesting! Spencer’s baked goods obsession is a little interesting but I think it will grow on me haha. Excited to get into the full length novel!

I read this as part of a compilation - it is a MUST read before Gotta Be Bayou.

An alright prequel novella but nothing really special. Loved the FMC but the MMC is pissing me off. It's also in 3rd person POV which isn't my fave so it definitely took away from the enjoyment.
