First of all, I want to thank ValentinePR for gifting me this ARC! Now, this book had to have immediately become one of my favorites. Who doesn’t love a grumpy millionaire that doesn’t believe in love being brought to life by a witty sunshine restaurant owner because of a fake dating arrangement?? I loved Ella from the first second we met her, being so strong-willed and determined makes her a lovable character. She doesn’t cower to anyone and she doesn’t give up when she cares about something… and in this case, also someone. Steele is our closed off millionaire who has never been in love and doesn’t believe in love, and finding out the reason why pulls at the heartstrings. The chemistry between Ella and Steele is so obvious and every second they spend together brings down both of their ways. Their are definitely dumps and setbacks throughout this love story, but it’s a beautiful one! The only terrible thing about this story is every snooty person from Steele’s life or “circle,” LOL they were insufferable to read for being so stuck up. The resolution between the dislike of Ella and Steele’s family/ex had me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. This book is full of spice (GREAT spice

Phew, where do I even begin with this book! If you're expecting enemies-to-lovers, fake dating and some angst you're definitely on to something but believe me when I say you're not covering half of what this book is and what it'll make you feel!

Trust me when I say I almost threw my Kindle against the wall over 5 times and nearly pulled hair out from my head - THIS is what this book made me feel! AAAA!

Okay, I love Ella. She's so freaking awesome!! She's super funny, I love her energy, her mockery and her overall personality! I'd be quite happy if I had an Ella in my life to be honest.
She's very caring and protective of her people, she stands-up for the ones she loves, and OMG her mocking Steele's family members and then some?! SIGN ME UP and give me some popcorn, because this girl ain't playing!

In an attempt to save her restaurant she agrees to do something totally insane: pretend to date Steele Cunningham for four months. What does he have to gain out of this? you may ask. Well, let's just say he has his reasons.

Steele doesn't believe in love. His body, mind, soul, heart and time are busy with one thing and one thing only: his business.
He's a tin man showing zero emotions whatsoever - no feelings, no smiling, no laughing, no living the life, no enjoying simple and happy moments, nada. Until Ella.

Ella is so different from the people Steele is used to. She's stubborn, she stands her ground, she argues with Steele at practically all times, and she definitely isn't the one to budge when it comes to whatever Steele says 😏
Ella makes Steele lose his mind, she's challenging but she's also a breath of fresh air for him. But does she have it in her to destroy the armor and see a tin-free version of Steele?

I loved getting to know these characters; I enjoyed the character development in this book, the spice, the enemies-to-lovers is just 🔥 AND a bit of mystery in this book? YES YES YES! Beautiful!

I absolutely hate Steele's family. Such despicable and ugly people. And don't even get me started on Iris and her sad wannabes.

There were some things in this book that almost made me lose my mind, but overall I really enjoyed it! It's fast-paced, it has a healthy dose of suspence, it's well-written and it kept my attention from the very first page until its very last.

Thank you Valentine PR and R.C. Boldt for the ARC of this book! 💖

This book melted my heart and brought tears of absolute joy to my eyes by the very end. I swooned, I laughed, and I fell hard for the "Tin Man".

Ella Marchetti is a total spitfire and I LOVED her!!! Her comebacks and tenacity were utterly fantastic! Agreeing to fake date Steele Cunningham to save her family restaurant gave her gumption and nerves of steel to face Mr. Cunningham's family and mean spirited ex-girlfriend. Ella had me giggling hysterically with all of her amazing jabs and quips. She is top quality, BFF girlfriend material.

- R E V I E W -

Armored Heart by R.C. Boldt.

Okay this book was so fun. I love a good fake dating romance tied in with billionaire romance. Yesss please. This really has a lot of the tropes that I love!

-Billionaire
-Fake Dating
-Grumpy/Sunshine
-Witty Banter
-Angst

Steele is you typical closed off billionaire that doesn't let anyone come close to him with feelings with a 10 foot pole. Ella is the ray of sunshine everyone needs in their lives. I love how much they bantered and really just disagreed on everything. Some of her come backs literally had me rolling!!

"He probably does the deed in a medically sterile environment with the least amount of bodily contact as possible. His hip thrusts likely squeak tin man-style."

I literally could not.. I was laughing so hard at some of these one liners that I woke my husband up. The way that R.C. Boldt wrote the characters I was just immersed so much into the story. Even the side characters had me swooning for them. I will not lie and say that some of the characters though, specifically from Steele's side of the world had me literally raging. Gah the disrespect.

But over all - I really enjoyed this book. It was a bit too long and probably could have been cut down a little bit, but that is literally my only complaint when it came to this book.

Thank you Valentine PR for the advance reader copy to review.

Daniella, a restaurateur needs to convince Steele Cunningham, CEO of Solaris Land Development not to tear down her restaurant and in turn it into high rise condos. Ella as she's called by her friends visits Steele's office to bring him food as an offering to not tear down her restaurant,

Ella & Steele get caught in a compromising position as Ella's hair gets stuck in Steele's watch. His assistant & other co workers catch them so Steele comes up with a plan that involves Ella posing as his girlfriend for 4 months to appease his parents but especially telling his ex, Iris that their relationship was over

I loved all the twists and turns in RC's books. I loved Ella & Steele and the last chapter was absolutely hilarious and so sweet.

This book pulled me in and held me hostage until the very end. I love when you’re so invested in the characters and the journey they’re on that you’re angry when sleep and the outside world press the pause button. Steele and Ella’s story was packed full of snarky banter and family drama. Their slow burn romance was messy and complicated and I enjoyed every moment.

This was my first R.C. Boldt book, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a fake dating, grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers book.

Ella Marchetti loves her restaurant, La Dolce Vita. When she discovers that Steele Cunnigham, a millionaire intends to demolish the building her restaurant is in, she immediately packs some of her amazing food and goes over to his office to convince him not to demolish the building.

Steele Cunningham is heartless and ruthless; he’s cold, and his only goal is the success of his company. So when Ella shows up to plead her case, he refuses to eat any of her food and is not willing to change his mind.

They argue a bit, end up getting caught in what looks like a compromising position, then go their separate ways. But, word spreads about them, and Steele realizes they could pretend to date to benefit each other.

Ella is a very bubbly girl. She’s just so lively and happy; she’s kind and thinks of others, including Steele despite him being unkind toward her. But just because she’s a nice person does not mean she doesn’t have a strong backbone. She stands up for herself and doesn’t let others' judgment or actions tear her down.

Steele is harsh and doesn’t have much sunshine in his life until he meets Ella. She gets past the armor he has around his heart with how kind and unselfish she is. It took me a while to warm up to him though because he kept leading her on and then being cruel to her.

There were some funny moments and heartwarming moments between them. Let me just say flying meatballs. That was unexpected, but pretty funny. This was a great book, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
