I loveddd the novella at the end and honestly,,, it's ambiguous ending to the novella so like....... another book could be written and I would be there! I finished this at work and I had to take a walk. Adrienne Young ILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Namesake" by Adrienne Young is an exhilarating voyage into a world where the sea holds both freedom and treachery. As the Marigold ship sails away from Fable's controlling father, the promise of a fresh start is abruptly hijacked by unforeseen challenges. Fable finds herself entangled in a web of schemes orchestrated by a notorious thug, forcing her to dance with danger to reach her intended destination.

The narrative unfolds with a perfect blend of suspense and emotion, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. Adrienne Young masterfully crafts a tale where betrayal lurks around every corner, making it impossible to trust anyone entirely. The stakes are raised as Fable delves deeper into a realm of deception, uncovering secrets that her mother took to the grave – secrets that now jeopardize the lives of those she holds dear.

What makes "Namesake" a standout read is Young's ability to immerse readers in the characters' journey. The vivid descriptions and well-developed personalities create an intimate connection, making you feel like you're right there alongside Fable and the crew. The anticipation for a happy resolution for these characters becomes almost palpable, and you'll find yourself emotionally invested in their fates.

The novel not only explores the dangers of the sea but also the challenges faced by a young girl striving to find her place in a world dominated by men. Fable's resilience and determination make her a compelling protagonist, and the relationships she forges add layers of depth to the narrative. The romance intertwined with the plot adds a touch of sweetness, enhancing the overall reading experience.

In "Namesake," Adrienne Young has crafted a captivating and well-paced story that delivers excitement, emotion, and a sense of adventure. Whether you're a fan of maritime tales, intricate plots, or strong heroines facing insurmountable odds, this book is a must-read. Young's writing style immerses you in a sea of emotions, leaving you eagerly turning the pages until the very end.

Another perfect way to end a doualogy. I loved Fable’s story and was so excited to get to know more of her background. I loved that new characters came back, and that the audience got to see more of Fable and Saint’s relationship. The only thing about the story was that I felt like there was something missing..
