Who doesn’t love a tattooed goalie?

5/5 stars

My goodness Avery has done it for me again. Honestly in this story I shed quite a few tears. Reading about what Sera went through and how she felt she needed to handle everything alone broke my heart. Once she found out her diagnosis and everything I was definetely crying some more. I felt so bad for her and what it meant for her future because she is such a happy character. Tyler by far stole my heart. I'm a sucker for goaoies but a tattoed one count me in even more. The way he was with Sera made me giggle and kick my feet. Seeing him with her after she told him and how he was just there for her was everything I didn't know I needed and more. I love these 2 so much and I'm so sad to see them go but I hope to see them again... (Also I need to know will we hear more about what Sera decides to do and more about her diagnosis along with what she will do further for surgeries etc????)

Seraphina moves in with her brother and his two best friends and teammates, not knowing that one of them was the stranger she hooked up with a few months ago in a club bathroom on Halloween. He was dressed as Hades and she was Tinker Bell, which became their nicknames for the remainder of the book.

Gonna be honest, I didn’t love this, which sucks because I adored the first book in the series. While I criticized the last book for being too long, I think this one overcompensated and was too short. It seemed pretty rushed and I didn’t feel the chemistry between the main characters that much.

There seemed to be a lot of conflict where there didn’t need to be, and a lot of it didn’t even wind up coming up again. They also went from vehemently trying to remain platonic, to throwing that out the window and being strictly secret friends with benefits, to blowing their own cover and jumping right into being a couple.

I also could not tell you a single concrete thing about the FMC. One second she’s fierce and independent, the next she’s getting herself into risky situations and needing saving, and then she’s withdrawn and aloof, to then being needy and whiny. Her character was just a mess, I couldn’t keep up. And Tyler was pretty bland. It honestly shocks me he can feel love for another person because he had no personality.

I do hope we get a book about Chloe and Reid because I was more interested in those side characters than the main couple.

Such a sweet, lighthearted romcom. I really enjoyed this - would recommend (:

Me gusta cuando el hermano entiende que la hermana es una persona adulta, que puede tomar sus propias decisiones.
