This book reminded me a lot of Grady Hendrix's We Sold Our Souls, with the aging rockstar dealing with creepy occupt stuff and driving across the country. I really liked Marybeth and I found myself liking Jude even though I didn't want to.

The first third of the book is really creepy and atmospheric as the haunting gets worse by the day and fucks with their heads. The rest of the book is still good but it doesn't have that creepy horror vibe that I love. Overall a good read and very moreish, I wasn't able to put it down. I'm going to go read more Joe Hill

This was a pretty damn good book! I wasn't sure what to expect. I have never particularly been a Stephen King fan, but you can mark me as a fan of Joe Hill! This book got right to the point. The haunting kicked off within 30 pages and it was creepy and intense! The ghost was a unique take that still felt classic, and the way the story unfolded was phenomenal. The characters were flawed but still people i could relate to and wanted to succeed. Also an aging rock star as a main character? That was so much fun!! I still never got fully scared though so for this one I'm going to say 8/10! I am definitely going to pick up more from Joe Hill!
