I'm starting to get it... I see what the series is so popular. And I liked this one better than the first one.

This was a fun book. It had over-the-top action, death-defying explosion, and exciting chases through Venice, Salzburg, and other parts of Mozart's hang outs.

This continues the adventures of Amy and Dan Cahill as they race against others to find the 39 clues.

The book takes much of Mozart's life and brings it into the race as well as some of the history that surrounded him, including Marie Antoinette and her famous quote.

A great book for kids to explore history without realizing that they are learning something.

You wouldn't think the storywriting could get more worse than the first book but it actually did. I could find myself wishing for the comfort of the first book awful as it was. Mistakes from the previous book continues here, like they would do everything to find a clue only to find one of their cousins following them or already there ahead of them. That was tiring. And Amy is not at all fit to lead the mission. She was whiny, nagging, freezing at the wrong time & totally I'll equipped to be part of such a quest. Dan, three years younger still is better mature except for the time the author tries extra hard to write him as a doofus which actually makes it just weird. I don't like any of the cousins and how it's always the SAME OLD STORY of eliminating the competition, following or threatening the competition or being ahead of the competition with no clues whatsoever. All of them can't be brainiacs, come on. A good children's story is one that's enjoyed by all ages and this utterly sucks.

Is an addictive and entertaining series but still is YA and lacks some umpf. Looking forward to the next one because of the location.

Also couldnt spot a difference between Riordan and Kormans writing.

Kind of upsetting that ancient artifacts are constantly being destroyed...oh and not so ancient belongings of other people as well.

On to the next set of clues!!!
