This was an adorable read for a holiday novella. It didn't flow the best since it was an expanded novella but it didn't bother me much.

All the Holiday Cheer!

What a perfect holiday story! Grinchy (check), throw in an “elf” with the magic to change said Grinch spirit and you have this tale that will instantly warm your heart this holiday. Also, Holly definitely has the full right to fell that maybe Christmas just isn’t the Season for her until Dean waltzes into her life.

"Why does he make me feel gooey inside? Why do I want to lunge at him and kiss him? Why can't I shut down these feelings when I know all he wants is this job?"

Holly had one goal. Beating Dean at a promotion at work. That all changes when her and Dean get stuck in an elevator. Holly keeps thinking back to their time together in his office, wondering why he never got back in contact with her. Dean is wondering if she's feeling the same as he is.

That hour in the elevator gives them both what they need to embrace their feelings and let them be known. They both realize that they reacted in a way that let the other believe they weren't interested, that it was a one and done type of hookup.

As we navigate through this love story Holly and Dean come full circle. Dean sets out to make Christmas beautiful again for Holly and he does just that and then some.

This book is a little fast paced, but I don't know that you can expect a novella to be slower paced. This book is only around 70 pages long, and a lot happens in those 70 pages. It's a cute, Hallmark style Christmas story with some spice.
