This was disgustingly messy teen romance and I loved every second of it (when I wasn’t too busy cringing on their behalf).
I read this book in one sitting. It was a great summer read that made me sad in the beginning but then I was completely hooked on these characters. If she had ended up with one of the brothers at the end I would have rated it 5. I got the lesson of course how there’s a whole world out there not just your small town but like also this is a fictional book. In real life , yes, always choose yourselves queen. But in a book, I’m gonna need you to choose one of the boys because I did not read the whole thing just for you to realize choose you. I want the fantasy. Knowing that there’s a sequel does make it better. I think Gabe was my favorite character. Yes, he could be a little punk that always wanted to get what he wanted but I loved how he was with Molly. He was so sweet and I just loved his mannerisms. I can’t even explain it. This book also made me want to watch documentaries and put a soft tortilla over my taco.
Got this from a Barnes and Nobels Blind Book Bag. This book had the most unlikable main character of all time and the worst ending ever but some how I was still sucked in
I hated all the main characters. HATED! I even hated the moms and best friends. However, this is a testament to what a great writer this author is. I hope she makes better character choices next time...and I hope her characters make better choices next time!
Okay, so after giving this book some thought I have to change my rating. I'm sorry. But this book was terrible. Molly was really annoying, and I tried to pity her but most of the things they said were true. Plus, . There were some topics I enjoyed, like how girls always seem to get tormented but the guys are just left alone. But otherwise, I can't say I liked this book. At the time, I loved it actually, but if I really think about it, the characters were annoying, there wasn't really a plot, etc, etc, etc.
5 stars. This book was amazing and I loved the ending. I was hooked the entire time.
This was a really good read! The ending headed in a direction I wasn't expecting but it wrapped the story up so nicely!
Okay so I kind of skipped out on reading the blurb, I was just like "Ooh, pretty cover, must read." But I wish I read it because this whole book resolves around cheating and selfish characters who all need a firm slap. My biggest issue if the book was Molly who does stupid things and makes horrible choices but never actually feels sorry for what she did, she only feels sorry for herself because of the way people treated her after the way she acted. She became a social leper, and everyone knew about her even if they didn't know her, and everyone loved to hate her. But right when people start liking her again, when she starts to make a teeny tiny effort to right her wrongs, she makes the same mistake as she made before, but even worse seeing as she didn't learn from what happened before and hurt even more people in the process. She's stupid. And she had the nerve to cry and OMG I can't believe I did that, but really, you can believe she did that because she's a stupid whore. And around the end where she finally stands up for herself and calls other people out for their mistakes, you can't even root for her because of all the shit she'd done and how hypocritical her actions were. It only made me mad, the whole damn book did because Molly is perfectly happy with jumping back and forth between two guys, wanting one when she already has the other, and its extremely unbecoming, like seriously. There's nothing really likable about any of the characters except maybe Tess who really didn't deserve Molly or Patrick or any of the selfish assholes she hung out with. And most of said asshole characters are selfish and hypocritical and shallow and I honestly wish I never read the book because it only pissed me off.
LOL this was a mess but you can bet your ass I will be reading 9 days 9 nights 😂
4.5 stars

Oh man! Who knew that so much could happen in 99 days? (That's like 3 months or so. Also, who gets 3 month summers in high school? Jealous!)
99 Days is about Molly Barlow, whose mom is a famous romance author. Her mom wrote a novel based on her situation with her ex boyfriend and his brother. She was basically slut shamed by the entire town and her ex- best friend who is the sister of her ex-boyfriend. She escaped her home town by going to a boarding school after being recruited for their track team. The summer after graduating high school, she returns to her home town for 99 days before she goes to Boston for university.
Her return to Star Lake is a whole journey in and of itself. It's a finding-yourself journey for Molly and I loved going along on the ride with her, despite my cringing at some of the things she does. I love her and her flaws, but most especially when she learns to stand up for herself. I like that she is relatable because she doesn't know what she wants to go into and she keeps making mistakes. It's human and I could definitely relate to her.
I kind of love Gabe. He's so freaking nice and sweet to Molly. He likes her for who she is and doesn't try to control her at all. And he gets it, the double standard. Though the town slut shames her, he knows that if she's getting blamed, he should be too. He's pretty perfect, though his rivalry with Patrick is a little gross.
99 Days is a great summer read that you can really just fly through. It shows how one summer can really change your life.
