So i picked this up as a Dad looking for guidance on when and how to potty train my first child. The method that JC has developed here seems structured and clear. I will definitely be putting it into practice. That being said, my oh my does she have an ego. At first i took the book's title as an indictator that this was going to be straight talking book that did not sugar coat it for you. I've read books like that, and this just aint one of them. Every point that's talked about has a singular purpose. To prove that she is right, and to hell with everyone who doesn't agree. This brings about quite a lot of fluff and drawn out opinions which make the book a much longer read than it needs to be. By all means read it. But you can cut out almost everything after chapter five and still have taken home all of the key lessons.

I liked the outline for how to, however found the tone of the book rude and disrespectful. The author is very opinionated.

Well, we’re just on day 2 of potty training but so far her method has been great! I should probably wait a few weeks to really review but so far the actual method is great.

While I appreciate the "method" with thinking in terms of Blocks rather than Days (which is literally all I was trying to refresh on), my god this author is judgemental. "I'm not judging" immediately followed by judging, generalizations, and blanket statements. Even in the first chapter, "If they're not potty trained by ___ age, then you might as well just assume they'll need a therapy fund instead of saving for college and have lifelong issues of bedwetting"

2.5? Solid strategy but judgy and sarcastically condescending delivery.

Even though I've potty trained two of my children before, I read this book for my third and I WISH it had been around when I was potty training #1 & #2!! It would have made life SO MUCH SIMPLER back then! Good, solid advice for quick and painless potty training!
