After I picked up Obsessed, I swore that I would finish that book and take a break from Vines. Still, I read the ending of the book and realized that Hunted would be all about Cameron. I needed to know how his story went because not only would he be kind of in limbo while he healed, but he also met his celebrity crush! So, of course, I had to pick up this book ASAP! I don't know if that was the greatest idea just because I was at the end of my Vines tunnel. I love Jolie Vines so much, but I can't read any author back to back anymore, so when I do, it's an oddity, but I was just in a Vines mood. This book had the setup to become a new all-time favorite Vines book! I mean, we had Cameron, celebrities, a scandalous relationship, and drama! So it had it all. But things crashed and burned, and I don't know if it was the book or me. It was me because I read so many Vines books back to back, and even though I enjoyed them all, they started to feel repetitive after a while. Plus, this book pointed out that I must go back and read Marry the Scots.
Marry the Scots is the first series by Vines set in this universe, and it follows the parents of both this series and the Wild Scots characters. Hard Nox did a great job explaining who was who and how they were connected to the previous series, but I've never read their books, and I've always meant to go back and read them. However, I only felt like I was missing something once this book with Cameron's grandfather. So I will be pushing pause on this series until I go back and read that series. But I've officially added all four series to my series tab on my Instagram.
