Not the worst, but Christmas romcoms aren't really my cup of tea. It didn't quite make the cut for me. Perhaps I'll enjoy these authors more when they put in the effort for better character development.

The rest were fine but I would follow Ali Hazelwood to the ends of the Earth

I’m all for spicy romance but these just weren’t it. I felt like a couple could have potential as full length novels though.
Cruel Winter With You
Not my favorite by this author, I think the characters just needed more development. The plot wasn’t that intriguing and missed on the holiday cuteness.
Merry Ever After
I really enjoyed the big, burly MMC Luke and if this would have been a full length novel I think he would be a top book boyfriend contender. The single mom trope added interest, but again, the novella could have benefited from being a bit longer to develop the characters and connection further.
All By My Elf
Yeah, this one just did not hold my interest at all. The weinermobile was fun but not enough for a plot to be centered around.
Merriment and Mayhem
Can we have a full length novel featuring the two main characters? They were funny and cute, and I found myself smiling more instead of cringing as with the previous books in this collection.
Only Santas In The Building
The neighbors to lovers was a cute trope for this, but again, would have been ten times better if the character arcs could have been developed more in a full length novel. It was a good conclusion to the collection though.

Hazelwood’s: 4⭐️ Good pacing and a fleshed out back story that makes the emotional beats feel like they actually matter, and the spice feel earned.
Bailey’s: 2⭐️ Good spice as usual, but not much else there. Definitely not enough Christmas, and too much cringe. Also, where are they that she’s wearing slips and sundresses in the dead of winter?
Dade: 2.5⭐️ Not much going on here, and subpar spice. I liked that the characters were older, but it was rather boring.
Bellefleur: 3⭐️ Cheesy names aside, this was at least pretty fun. The spice was good, there was a decent amount of Christmas, and backstory for the FMC. I do feel concerned about how much of the town’s emergency resources she took up though. And WHY did she jump in? smh
Daria: 1.5⭐️ The snooziest of the bunch for me. The chemistry just didn’t come across.

3.5⭐️ Cruel Winter With You - best friends brother trope. Corny but sweet
1.5 ⭐️ Merry Ever After - this couple didn’t feel real to me, mostly smut and not much character growth or story.
3.5 ⭐️ All By My Elf - funny situation, cute workplace romance
4 ⭐️ Merriment and Mayhem - firefighter romance. Charming characters and the right amount of spice.
4 ⭐️ Only Santas in the Building - cute, realistic characters
