If you've ever wanted to know more about the undefeated UFC champ, read this book. It will inspire the shit out of you!!
dark funny reflective medium-paced

Wow!!

I’M SERIOUS!!!! I loved this book so much. I had, um, no idea who she was until I read this book . . . Now I’m kinda scared of her. I do judo, and I would get legit anxiety if I locked eyes with her before a fight. I look up to her now. She is such a strong person, and I aspire to be like her.

P.S. (WARNING: BASICALLY EVERY CURSE WORD IS IN THIS BOOK. BEWARE.)

Rousey writes a book that packs almost as much of a punch as the woman herself. A story as inspiring as her rise to fame and making her even more lovable than before. I loved it!

I absolutely devoured this book in less than a day. It's written with such heart and such simple truths that anyone can relate. Ronda is an inspiring athlete and the lessons contained can easily translate to life in general. She admits her mistakes. She lays bare the troubles she endured. And she lays her adversity on the mat no differently than she has lain every opponent she has faced.

The opening lines of one of her chapters reads, "When you’re in the middle of the hustle, there are going to be times when your life is complete shit and you’ve got absolutely nothing to show for the effort you’ve put in. I don’t just mean tough times, but the moments when you have to swallow your pride and check your ego. I’m talking about the kind of times where, if it were happening to someone else, you would silently be thanking God that it wasn’t happening to you. There were times when I knew that I was in a terrible situation, but I also knew that it wouldn’t last forever. Those are the moments when you have to remind yourself that this experience is a defining moment in your life, but you are not defined by it."

How can you not be inspired by that?

A compelling mix of autobiography and positive thinking from the greatest athlete of all time.

One of the best biographies I've read (admittedly not a huge bio reader), it is a compelling read for MMA enthusiasts and people who don't know what the UFC even is. Her sister has done a remarkable job, to the point where I often felt like it was being read by Rousey in her slightly husky voice.

Great book but could have been 100 pages shorter.

Ronda is a badass. I liked her attitude in the book, but at times she was way cocky.
