"we laughed a lot in the cinema, especially at the films about sad straight boys who needed fixing. women in movies taught men to feel things. you could never tell what those women felt themselves."

"sometimes i love you and sometimes i think it would be best if a plane flew into your office and you were either on the plane or in the building."

"i was willing to center my emotional life around someone who treated me like a favored armrest."

"there was something shakespearean about imperious men going down on you: the mighty have fallen."

Enjoyable read, funny at times. Had a hard time getting into it during the first part but got a lot more into it when Edith was introduced. Not all that exciting, all things considered but still a nice read!
