'Boy Overboard' tells the story of Jamal and his family who are fleeing from persecution in Afghanistan. The reader follows their perilous journey as they face refugee camps, pirates and storms while attempting to reach Australia. The story is told through Jamal's eyes, often resulting in humour and surprising brevity. As important now as it was when first written.

Great use of humour in a tale that could get swallowed in darkness so that it’s message can come to light.

I thoughtful insight to the life of a refugee. Morris has done it again with a book that makes everyone think twice about their opinions. I must for all ages but best for kids aged 5-12.
