This is the book/graphic novel I wish somebody would have gifted me as a young girl. A book so thoroughly inspiring for the young and old a like. You so rarely get to see and hear about the amazing contributions from women to history, and as a girl you won't see you gender represented in the history books at school other than as wife's or victims. And this books shows that women are so much more than a background figure in a man's story, or a catalyst for a man's heroic deeds.

This book is also extremely inclusive, showing women of color, women with disabilities, women that still live, women than lived 1800 years ago, transwomen, old and young. Everyone is included, showing the greatness of womanhood in all it's colors and shapes.

This book made me cry several times, and I even created a note on my phone, writing down the names of all the women I wanted to research further.

Yassssss.

I can’t figure out the right age group for this so I’ll just gift it to all the pre-teens I know and let their parents figure out appropriate timing...

Loved it. It was good finding out about inspirational women that made history but that not a lot of people talk about

Why do I have the feeling I have read this one before? Quite enjoyed it, but cannot say it was very "new" to me...
