Cartea asta e o operă de artă ...la propriu și la figurat. Si zice niște povești absolut încântătoare. Povești reale ale unor femei care trăiesc sau au trăit în diverse colțuri ale lumii. De unele dintre ele știam deja, dar de altele n-auzisem pentru că ...society is unfair. Toate aceste femei au două lucruri în comun: perseverența și faptul că au avut curajul de a se lupta cu ele însele și cu lumea în care trăiau și care le impunea multe limite.
O carte cu multe lecții care trebuie neapărat descoperită de cât mai multă lume. În special de fete și de femei.

This is maybe my favorite of the art/biography books I've been reading. The art was just perfect, so cute and silly at the best of times (the old ladies are my favorite!). The ladies chosen were diverse and I feel like I got more info on each of them than most other similar books. The criminal miniaturist is probably my favorite lol

A fantastic read! Very interesting - I really liked that I had not heard of many of the women profiled. The art, the humour, the writing style, all in all a very informative and worthwhile read. Buy it for all the girls/women in your life for their next birthday!
