A touch of ruin was an emotional read. This book is very focused on Persephone’s growth as a goddess in a new relationship with hades, working on controlling and strengthening her powers, and realizing that she no longer fits into the mortal life she once loved. This book is a beautiful story about mourning past versions of yourself and how to persevere through change. The story of Persephone and Lexa’s friendship and how her selfishness and desire to cling to how things once were is very relatable. Persephone really was her own worst enemy. Also, I have mommy issues too girl you better pop off in the next book! War is starting

This series is affecting me way too much. I seriously laughed, cried, and felt my heart break and swell while reading this book 😭🩷 There were times that I was frustrated, but that happens when the characters are flawed and navigating struggle. The book had me, lost me, then had me again. So good. Although sometimes the spice is… out of place, the spice is spicing.
