Dnf at chapter 7.
Now i get that this book was written at the beginning of the “spice era” as in spice was JUST getting viral over on tiktok so i can overlook the fact that they fuck every two pages. They fight, they fuck. They eat, they fuck. They sleep, they fuck. They wake up, they fuck. They fuck and they fuck. They fuck into eternity.
Listen i love love love Hades but Persephone is the most annoying bitch EVER. A stupid jealous bitch.
Because listen to this: she finds out he had an ex that he left centuries ago but what does she do? She’s jealoud and angry so she fights with Hades then she goes around and does something he told her very clearly not to do out of spite then the ex comes to her begging her to let hades grant her the job back because apparently he ruined the ex’s life FOR PERSEPHONE then PERSEPHONE GETS ANGRY AND OFFERS THE EX SHE FOUGHT WITH HIM ABOUT A COUCH IN HER HOME TO SLEEP ON.
That’s it, that’s the review.

Found this one a little slow. Persephone is quite insufferable at times and gosh her and Hades are terrible at communicating. I really only care to see how the series ends, but I don't care what happens to Persephone. I am here for Hades only.
I will read the third one, but not right away? Which maybe says something about how I'm feeling about this series...

Persephone started to grate a little in this one but the story was captivating and kept me going onto book 3

This book was messy AF. There is literally no other way to describe it. If you thought Persephone was whiny and immature in ATOD, she’s even worse in this book. I don’t for the life of me understand and she actually regressed. I never cared much for this miscommunication trope, but so far this series has shown me just how much I actually despise it. I just wanted to smack everyone.
As whiny and dramatic as she was and as much as I love Hades, I was equally annoyed that somehow everything turned out to be Persephone’s fault and she was always the one apologizing. For whatever reason, Hades was never actually help responsible for his actions or lack there of, for being emotionally stunted.
Persephone couldn’t decide if she wanted to hate people or be their best friend. A woman shows up claiming to be Hades lover, the green jealousy monster comes out for a few minutes and then she’s sleeping at your house that night? You write an article blasting Apollo about how horrible he is, then make a deal with him for his help and after like two times of hanging out you’re now BFFs?
The thing with the Demi-god at the end kind of threw me for a loop. It just doesn’t fit into the story anywhere.i honestly couldn’t tell you what it is that makes me want to keep reading 😂. Maybe it’s a situation where it’s a train wreck you can’t look away from. Idk

This was a fun sequel. I do have to say, at times some of the spicy scenes are a bit redundant and they take away from the plot.. overall I did enjoy it though! I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the saga.
Did not like flipping between the books.
Persephone is my absolute favorite. She's finally breaking out of the mold her mother created and setting a path for herself. Where will this lead her in the next book? Im not sure but i'm excited to find out. Also my heart was ripped out when she made the one selfish decision, without realizing it made things worse.

There were just so many moments in this book where I just didn't understand how the main character moved on so quickly and that the real world people would just accept with no consequences.
