Hades I love you. Persephone you annoy the crap out of me you brat ass. Her naive age and lack of experience should make her rash ego more timid. I did enjoy learning about Apollo’s story of his lover that died. But I’m no longer interested in continuing the series. Farewell Hades my sweet, and good riddance Persephone. I hope they learn to communicate properly without sex as a mask to do so.

It’s juicy, new friendships. So many problems. Seriously why so many issues?? I still love escaping in this series

I didn’t like this one as much as the first book because of all the reasons everyone else is saying: Persephone. She was insufferable for a lot of the book and kept making stupid decision after stupid decision.

But … I do try to remember that she is SO NEW to the world. She was kept trapped and hidden from everyone until she was 18 years old. She makes childish decisions because she’s learning. She’s like a child being released to the world. She also never had a great mother figure in her life (clearly).
