I could not put this one down. Oh the angst. I loved the flow of the book, and how the author made us an epic burnt cd. Felt like I was 20 again.

Kate Stewart is a phenomenal writer, and I loved everything about this book.

I went into Drive blind, because I've been on a Kate Stewart binge since reading the Ravenhood Series.
Drive had me from the first chapter - hook, line, and sinker. I completely connected with the setting, and Stella...her age, interest in music, live shows, aspiration, but even more than that her superstitions, and how deeply emotional she is. I almost felt like I was reading about a much cooler version of who I was at that age, because I too lived in Austin at a similar age. The setting and her relationships triggered some serious nostalgia. The fall for Reid, and then Nate, and everything in-between - I FELT it all. This story is captivating, inspiring, and worth every star.

Like every Kate Stewart book I read, I went in blind. I've read Drive so many times, that the next time I read it, I could break the binding. I've listened to the audiobook 3x and constantly have the playlist that goes with each chapter on repeat, today is no exception as it blares through my speakers.

I knew I'd experience a rollercoaster of emotions but this story wasn't a rollercoaster, this was a full blown collision. My head, heart and soul completely shattered at certain points. In my teenage years and early 20s everything music was my life, it's what I lived for in the summers.

Reading, feeling, listening to music through Stella's eyes was like experiencing all those shows & concerts again.

There are some books that are okay, some books that are good, some books you enjoy, then there are the ones that wreck you, yep this book wrecked me. From the opening chapter I was sucked right in, listening to that first song Adele Someone Like You, I had only just started reading and I felt tears coming to my eyes. I really had no idea how what the end, and from the last 70% each song just broke me a little more. I absolutely adored Stella what a heroine, loved her, loved her. I fell for Reid and I fell for Nate, I was torn between the two, but really when I got to the end, I was rooting for who she ended up with and I’m glad it worked the way I wanted, I’m not saying who, as I’m not putting in any spoilers please read you won’t be disappointed and listen to the songs, they make this book such an amazing reading experience.

This is my first Kate Stewart book and I’m so happy I’ve got more to try.

5 Star ratings are tough to give. This one deserves it! Got me out of a book funk, now what?
