The written equivalent of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, without any of TCMs wit or actual scares. Shocking in a boring way, and not much happens despite all the murder. The shallowest and most literal version of ‘hurt people hurt people’. One star for being interesting enough for me to skim to the end. And a big thumbs up for letting me know I never need to pick up another book by this author.

Trigger Warning for literally EVERYTHING
I think this book is truely dark and sad
If you like a gruesome“family“ that will make you think about the fucked up lengths the implications lead to go for it
In my opninion the Internet promised more horror and less drama
This book is like a greek tragedy where the main character is destined for a tragic fate
Although I liked the behind the scenes of the murderous in the middle of nowhere living familiy it was a bit dragging
Sadly at around the middle ish of the book you can predict what will happen
Overall it was interesting to read but didn’t live up to the marketing

Oof. I kinda guessed a lot that was happening but the little twist at the end. Interesting book. First of hers I have read but I'll definitely read more
