I have not read a book quite like this before and I struggled a bit. Overall, I thought the ending was really good. Just struggled to get through the main bits.

MAJOR trigger warnings for familial abuse and animal abuse/death.

Grim. Chews up your heart and spits it out. Then chews it up again. Some absolutely fantastic character work in this one! Just umm... check your Content Warnings...

Every time you think you've read the most fucked up thing, you find out something even more horrible. Ania Ahlborn is a truly magnificent writer - a master of foreshadowing.

Gobsmackingly awful and gut wrenching. Not for the the faint of heart but one of the most hopeless, true horror stories I have read in a long time.
