I was surprised by how much IO loved this book. The characters were so cute and even though it was a slow burn romance, I was cheering for the characters throughout. I'm not one form books that center completely on romance but this made an exception.

Very teenagery, I think I might be getting too old.
But the message is positive.

Finally, a teen rom-com that I actually loved! I love Jamie, and Maya, and Jamie and Maya together. Everything was cute. And the politics seems informative rather than overbearing (although to be fair, in picking up the book you knew you were in for a lot of politics). I appreciated the fact that even though the main characters are all staunch Democrats, they show lots of different people on both sides of the political spectrum.
