I love this so much, it’s so funny to see the story in manga format. It was making me smile and laugh a lot, I love that this exists. I only read 50 pages of the original novel by Jane Austen, I really wanted to read all of it but I just didn’t enjoy the writing style, so being able to read this and fully understand everything was so nice. I just really enjoyed it in this format. I did get a little annoyed towards the ending by how the characters are more dramatic in this but that’s just because it was dramatized so often that by the end it got a little annoying, but I thought it was very funny in the beginning and middle. I’m so happy the author and artist of this decided to make this! I really really enjoyed it and the ending was so cute. I also watched the first Pride & Prejudice film before reading this and I love the way the manga wraps everything up better than the movie and explains everything better.

Pride And Prejudice, out of the books I know, is one of the best at conveying essence in a single sentence. The way it describes a place, or mood, crystallises such a confident sense in Me the reader of the various dispositions of people, absurdity of circumstance, and energy of a setting. It feels like it can make unspoken imaginings of the heart that we all have but never have summarised, seem as if they are cliché, and obvious. Conveyance is difficult, and pride and prejudice has the audacity and vulgar flamboyance of making it seem not so, that was a joke. Jane Austen makes it seem easy. Enjoyable read, funny in places, emotionally hard work in others. Also I think a picture of the time that I didn’t know a lot about, a lot of culture to discover. I like the protagonist, who has good humour, but is not annoying and flippant.

Because the art style is not in my taste, but the story was still almost as good as the original book ❤️

This was a fun read, although definitely both simplified certain parts of the plot (and also dramatised it in a hilariously cringe worthy way at times!) It was nice to read this as a whole from start to finish in such a short period time, after having read Pride and Prejudice for so long. It was a fun, easy way to follow and understand the basis of the story. It was also my first ever manga, which was such a fun experience and definitely something I'll have to look into reading more of!

Illustrations were beautiful. Seeing Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice made into a manga was amazing. Made this wonderful love story such a quick lovely read.

Pretty enjoyable, but I think I would have liked it better if I hadn't loved the original sooo much. The art is really pretty and there's this particular scene that makes me laugh whenever I flip to it (Darcy's face in the last box on p. 112... I just flipped to it right now and it's so funny).
I didn't like that a lot of things were skipped or changed in order to make things easier to understand or adapt... like I know it's not supposed to be exact, I'm just nitpicking.
I'd definitely read another Manga Classic.

I highly recommend this to everyone who loves Pride and Prejudice. it is faithful to the original story with some cute humor added in. I've loved Mr. Darcy for as long as i can remember and this brang back all the feelings for when i first read P&P. This is a perfect way for people to read and for in love with the classics without being intimidated by reading the original book. I've been meaning to re-read P&P and this was the perfect way to do so, it's a nice quick read that explains the original story perfectly in a short amount of time. the illustrations are beautiful it helps give that romantic vibe from the original story (but with less words). I can't wait to read the rest in the series. P.S i really hope they do Moby Dick in the future.
