Entertaining but lacks the heart of the original story, almost to the point of mockery. Also didnt really care for the art work, this kind of adaptation is going to appeal to a very small market, maybe someone who doesnt want to read the actual novel and would like the short version but your missing the feel of the period.

Who doesn't end the book thinking that Lizzie is a very lucky girl?!

Loved this more upon reread. Very enjoyable

I've read this book probably three times now and each time I read P&P I discover new insights about the characters. This read Mr. Bennet's severely lacking parenthood and Lizzy's focus on someone's disposition stood out to me. As always it's a wonderful read.

now i need to watch the movie.

A classic that lives up to its hype!

What I liked: I love the witty humor. I love most of the characters, particularly Elizabeth, of course, and also Mr. Collins who is probably the funniest to me. I love the lessons about the ability to recognize flaws in your character and avoiding early judgement of others.

What I didn't like: There wasn't anything in particular, I just usually save five-star ratings for books that were really life changing and this book, though entertaining, wasn't quite there.

Harder to read and took a while, but so worth it! Pride & Prejudice walked so other romance novels could run. Classic enemies-to-lovers and grumpy-sunshine story, and now I want my own Darcy. Wish I’d read it sooner!

“You are too generous to trifle with me. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me at once. My affections and wishes are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me on this subject forever.” - Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy

love this story, love this book. but honestly...... it's so much more compelling as an audiobook performance than in the written word

Really unpopular opinion here I think but to me this was just.... okay. I found myself zoning out a lot and I didn’t care to go back. I dunno maybe classic novels just aren’t my thing, the last 10% of the book was pretty nice though.
