Now I can say without a doubt, confidently and with MY CHEST, that I am a Pride and Prejudice girl, I adore the book and that is probably why anything written by Jane Austen has been read by me. With that being said, I was not a fan of the artwork itself. It wasn't the kind of style that I enjoy but it isn't bad at all. The book and story itself was fantastic though, they definitely took the source material and did an amazing job with characters like Mr. Collins and Mrs. Bennet. Two incredibly silly characters and they made them even sillier by the art style and I loved them and how the artist decided to depict them. Obviously Darcy and Bingley were drawn to perfection as were Elizabeth and Jane. I think what makes having art involved, especially with manga, is that were more allowed to see their facial expressions and that just added to the story. The scenery was gorgeous! I loved the drawings. Overall the story is great, the artwork was good-just not the style I tend to enjoy-and I would definitely recommend. 3.75/5

I really enjoyed this adaptation. I thought it brought to light the essence of the classic novel - the angst, the humor. The artwork is lush and adds to the overall effect of the reading experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this for purchase and as a suggested read for teens. This genre certainly makes the original more approachable to young readers.

you must allow me to tell you how ardently i admire and love you
i think we all know what pride and prejudice is about by now. (the handflex, obviously) but our story follows elizabeth bennett and her sisters as they make their way through society attempting to secure a good marriage for the sake of their mother. enter mr. darcy. at first, he does not make a great impression on elizabeth. however, due to events that transpire her thoughts of him begin to change.
this was my first full reading of the story of pride and prejudice and what i liked most about this edition was that it made it easier to comprehend what was happening, so i think reading the actual novel will now be a little easier.
sometimes the way the artist drew jane and elizabeth was a bit suspect. like my dude, they’re sisters.
i would recommend this to someone who is just starting out reading classics
Fun and accessible adaptation. Perfect if you want to shove the whole plot down your throat but don't have time to read the whole book.
Faithful adaptation with the funniest and most accurate drawn version I've ever seen of both Mrs Bennet and mr. Collins. beautiful art. and dannnng is Darcy hot
