I listened to this on CD.
This was a funny and cute book about four women who have such an addiction to shoes that they will go to all costs to get them, including steal, and not pay their bills. In the end though, they use their addiction to supply a great life for each of them.

I like the Shopaholic books by Kinsella so it's not that I don't enjoy this type of book from time to time. However, this one seemed to lack character development, the plot wasn't very believable, and it wasn't as much fun to read as I had expected.

This book started out with potential- I enjoyed the characters and felt with them. However, as the book wore one, the story started to feel cheesy, the writing stilted and the multi-character setup distracting. The ending felt too forced, with convenient self-discovery and instant bonding. For a well written shopaholic book, I recommend Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic. This is a book that creates an engaging character with faults we can all relate to.
