Oh I really liked this book in the series! The plot felt more intense and I really enjoyed reading Presley and Shaw’s story.

Presley has always been a favorite of mine in the series so I was happy to see her get her own book!

Rushing to start reading the next book in the series!

While this one wasn’t as big on a thrilling plot, it focused more on the romance/chemistry between the two main characters. It still really enjoyed this!

We get to read Presley’s story. She is the current manager/front desk at Clifton Forge Garage. We didn’t see too much of her in books 1 and 2, but her story felt important too. Her past & childhood was terrible.

Shawn is a big Hollywood movie star. He ventures to Clifton Forge to star in a movie that is based on an important murder (that is huge in book1 and 2). He becomes completely infatuated with Presley. He unknowingly buys the house right next door to her. Their relationship development was so cute. The baby carrots, her saying no to him all the time, and them opening up about their troubles was all so sweet.

4.5

The movie star trope just isn’t for me. The ending was probably the most into this book that I was but it makes sense how it was used to set up the rest of the series.

I want a man to build me a life out in the the country!

Another great addition to the Tin Gypsy series. Presley Marks is the Stone Princess, she is a jilted bride who is hiding behind a brave face. As we learn more about her history and what she had endured, we learn how extremely strong she is. With this latest heartbreak, she refuses to wallow in her pain and tries to move on, she is equally determined to not be hurt again or anyone hurting her adoptive family. So when mega star Shaw Valance comes into town to film and star in a movie based on the murder that had taken place prior, Presley was not happy and she showed it.

As we delve into Presley’s history we learn so much that made me love her so much more. She is so strong and fierce! So many twists and turns develop and it is all fantastic! Shaw is definitely swoon worthy. His past is just as fascinating, especially with how he became an actor, I loved that he is an ex-cop. The back and forth banter between Presley and Shaw was awesome. The word “no” was used a lot and it was actually really cute! You can see the chemistry between them. Presley definitely did not make it easy for Shaw but his persistence paid off. There is so much that happens in their story, issues from the past cause such a bumpy ride for them. It all definitely kept me on my toes.

Overall, I loved this book so much and I can not wait for the next in this series. Stone Princess is another must read!

This was so good, although the suspense isn't much, the drama at the end compensated for it!

Another good read.

This was not my favorite of the three I’ve read so far in the series but it was still good. I had been a fan of Presley since book 1, I just really loved her character. I wanted her to have an epic love story and in a way she did, falling for the movie star. Shaw was sweet, strong and down right swoony at times. But he did anger me- especially blaming Presley after saying how much he trusted her. In the end he did have some good grovel moments though I would have made him work a little bit more. I hadn’t expected all the sister drama so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Three years after the events of Steel King/Riven Knight, the town of Clifton Forge is moving. Until famous actor Shaw Valance brings his production company into town to film on location for his newest film surrounding the murder that occurred those three years ago, freshening old wounds. He goes head to head with Presley Marks, the office manager of the Clifton Forge Garage who had a front row seat to the tragic events that occurred those years ago. Striving for the film to be as authentic and respectful as possible to the real events and people depicted, Shaw grows close to Presley to ensure he is doing it justice. But the dust hasn't entirely settled on the past yet - for the Tin Gypsies, or Presley - when her ex-fiance forces himself back into her life along with her estranged sister.

I know this is people's least favorite of the series because it strays the furthest from the MC element. While I did find it to be a little slow toward the beginning, I was never actually bored. I enjoyed Shaw and Presley's romance, and their respective backstories. But the ending was such a thrilling segue into Noble Prince, which is Presley's sister Scarlett's story with Clifton Forge's very own Chief of Police.
