This one was definitely different than what I was expecting. I have gone into all of these books blind, so adding in a Hollywood actor made me hesitant, since I have read one kind of like it before and I didn’t love it. But I should have more trust in Devney that I was giving her credit for because I really liked this one. I think it felt so real to see that they were doing a movie about the death that happened in Clifton Forge because nowadays that would 100% would happen. But having them mix together with the actual people that were affected with the case was a fun little twist to it. Now I won’t deny this had some instalove happening and didn’t love that. So having the time jump happen was nice to see and helped me stick with the book. I liked it and the continued overall plot line that has occurred in all of the books which honestly has been my favorite part of this whole series.

Stone princess is the third book in the clifton forge series. I had a bit of a harder time to get into this book then the first two of them. But once it got going it was good! The book is written in dual perspective once again. It still has some biker elements in it but isn’t really a biker romance like the first two books. It also has less of a mystery vibe.
Her writing and story telling are still elements I absolutely loved in this book and it’s neither of those that made this book a bit less for me. I think I was just unable too really connect with the characters in this one which made the suspense feel less important, that was a lot less then the other books btw. There was also much less of a mystery into this book then the first two books and I kinda missed that.
I do feel that once again this was a really realistic romance. It was a slow burn and was developed really nicely and realistically. But somehow held less body then the other two books did.
There where some epilogue chapters in this one too but we don’t get much of an answer in those as for the bitt of a cliffhanger that the story ends with. Reading the book blurp for the next book I know we are going to get answers there. So on to the next one!

Also wasn’t the biggest fan of the mis-communication plot twist. There where some epilogue chapters in this one too but we don’t get much of an answer in those as for the bitt of a cliffhanger that the story ends with. The bubblegum princess that works the front desk falls for the movie star! Their book was good, the push and pull was enjoyable and I could not wait to again, see where this book takes us.

this one was cute, but i find that I'm just not the biggest fan of a 'famous person' storyline. I'm happy that we finally got to see from presley's pov, since she has always been a big part in the previous two books.
honestly, the thing that keeps surprising me with this series is how devney perry is not shying away from difficult subjects and difficult plot points, even when other parts are a little bit 'fluffier'.
i'm loving where devney perry is going with this series, and i can't wait to see what she has in store for luke and scarlett next
