dark hopeful mysterious

I think this was my favourite story so far, I love Presley and have been wanting to know her story and Shaw was the man to find out!
I love Devney’s stories so easy and effortless and keep you reading.

SHAWWWW <3

Shaw and Dash are my favourites.

I've decided to just review the series at the end because I am POWERING through and I can't keep doing this.

Basically, Shaw is a movie star and Presley is our girlie who has worked at the garage and been dating a piece of trash man who is not worthy of her. Shaw is in town filming the movie that is based on Genevieve and Dash's father and no one wants him there but Pres wants to learn more so she can break the news to her found family before they have to see a nightmare relived and revived on the big screen. Shaw's not the cash grab Hollywood star she pegged him for but she's not interested in games... but he has a nice smile so it's hard to stand strong.

I like the series but Shaw is kinda a walking red flag - no is not in his vocabulary but it's fine because he's hot? Not loving that. Also not much suspense going on

Presley starts hooking up with the movie star next door that is working on a dramatized version of the (public) events in Steel King and Riven Knight. Shaw doesn't know everything that actually happened in those two books or how Dash and Genevieve's dad died, so it's a little weird. They're quite icy towards him at the start, but he weasels is way in with a bit of charm.

Presley also has an ex in the rival MC that left her at the altar, and an estranged twin sister who'd previously been in love with the same man. She has a lot of baggage to work through and didn't intend to fall for Shaw.
