Maybe she's born with it. No, really. Beauty might be skin deep, but there's probably a lot more to your skin than you realize. Go underneath the surface to discover the mechanics of touch, the close connection between the skin and the gut, what happens when one gets a paper cut, and how a midnight snack can lead to sunburn. A very entertaining and informative read.

A really fascinating look at how the skin works, and what lies beneath, not to mention what lives on top of.
Some of the explanations are a little scientific, so probably not for anyone under, say, 15 or 16
Thanks to NetGalley for the pre-release copy

Il nostro più grande organo visto a 360°. Tanti argomenti ma per lo più già noti. Spero venga tradotto in italiano.

Very interesting introduction to how our largest and fastest-growing organ works. Some pages can be a little bit difficult to read, especially if you never really studied microbiology, however still very entertaining
