Good addition to the series
I was not a fan of the way the book started and as a result, I almost stopped reading it. To me, there was dissonance between what Guardian HRS does and the thinking and actions of Knox at the beginning of the story. Once the story moved past the initial meeting sequence, the book got much better for me. Therefore, this was a 3.5 stars read for me rounded to 4 stars because of the beginning. This is book 4 in the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists series. Knox is a member of Alpha Team in the GHRS and believes strongly in their mission and the important work of rescuing the victims and starting them on a new life. He is happy with his single life and happy enjoying sex only with a different one night stand every night. Lily is an undercover DEA agent and believes Knox is a drug courier. Lily targets Knox to use him to get information about the drug traffic she believes he’s involved with. Other than the beginning., I enjoyed the action packed, emotional roller coaster journey that is Knox and Lily’s HEA. The story is filled with witty and engaging characters, heart racing plot twists and a beautiful passion for love, justice and belonging. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Ellie Masters gives us another great story in this series. Not only is the chemistry between Knox and Lily smoking hot but so is the suspense. You will enjoy it.
