The character development is so good. I still really like Lily and Lo but I'm also so excited to get into Rose and Connor's books. (THEY LITERALLY FIGHT IN FRENCH???!!)  These books are so unintentionally funny I swear. My anxiety around the blackmailing was so high but at the end of the day the family/friendship dynamics just carried this book!

First thing duel-POV. I love it. A LOT. It was amazing to read from Loren's POV it made love him even more  I loved still hearing Lily's and how much they love each other. Also I love how protective he is of Lily and her sisters, and his relationship with Ryke and Connor. Connections made between the Calloway sisters, how it develops and grows and how strong the love/support is, is just a amazing.
The dialogue is fantastic, showcasing each person’s personality so vividly. That revelation scene at the end regarding who was behind all of the backlash was really charged, and done so well.
I have to point out how much I just freaking LOVE Ryke and Connor. God, these two are so sexy especially Connor. Daisy and Ryke are slow burn and Connor fights with Rose in French, how hot is that anyway, that preview chapter of Kiss the Sky is sooooo good!

I like so many things about this couple and this series, but something about this one didn’t flow well for me. To be fair, that could definitely be the Adderall shortage talking. I think maybe after 3 books, parts finally became really repetitive. Additionally, the idea that the press would care that much about these people was a lot to accept. In the first two books, they were basically anonymous, which worked better for me. I had trouble getting past that, which means things went downhill for me after about 65%.

Still, I feel like the authors definitely know all about addiction, and they aren’t trying to convince anyone that there isn’t a LOT of codependency at play here. But they are working on it, and letting other people into their lives, so I feel like slowly but surely, they’re getting healthier.

Another thing I appreciated is that the majority of the “villains” were layered. It’s usually lazy to make someone 100% evil, all of the time. And even if they are, it’s still not easy to see that fact in someone close to you. We spent the whole series hating Lo’s dad, but man, I wanted to strange Lily’s mom even more by the end of this, which I didn’t see coming. Jonathan did at least some things for other people’s benefit… I feel like Lily’s mom never did. She was always selfish and image-obsessed.

Anyways, I digress… I almost never rate less than a 3 because anything less means I didn’t finish, so then I don’t rate. So I still liked this, it was just my least favorite of the three up to this point.
